Hovering pathways in the sky, seemingly random objects in temporary arrangements, habitants leaning on each other, exposed in a discrete moment, pauses turned poses, poses turned pictures of passing moments, and intimate gestures in exposed sites. Sky poses as ground, earth and its wars and needs is a distant view, perhaps a memory, perhaps a dream.
The series "Access" incorporates landscapes from borders in Jewish settlements in the West Bank in Palestine and checkpoints on the borders in the Israeli-occupied territories, and source materials from the performance lab "Waiting for the Border’s Authority". The composition that frames the series is evoked by the idea of a detached theatre, commenting from above through performance on the landscape of conflict. The imagery and source materials for the series were developed through on-site photographic research that traces visual methods used to deliver stories and indicate authority over what the facts are, and directing photo performances laboratories that investigate how the body moves while negotiating wants, and needs, desires, and longing while performing self-images.
